Dear Knitters & Givers,
It’s October 1st!! A new month lies ahead just full of knitting and crocheting possibilities! I’m very giddy when it comes to autumn ~ it’s my favorite season. Sweaters and leaves, bonfires and cocoa, knitting and crocheting, apple picking and baking, hayrides and Halloween….the list goes on and on.
Yesterday we received a donation of 23 hats for our upcoming Hats 4 the Homeless donation. Yes, 23. A huge thank you to Lynn of Ohio for knitting and donating all these fabulous hats!
Our total donations for the month of September, 2009 comes to: 34!!
Great job everyone!!! 34 Items are ready to go to New York City 🙂 Our first donation will be October 15th, so please send in an item! No donation is ever too small and will make a huge difference to someone in need!
Email knittinggiving@hotmail.com for our mailing address.
Enjoy this first day of October everyone! Keep those needles and hooks moving!

I was excited to see your page and interested in helping. Our church had a scarf ministry for 4 years which I maintained and many scarves were given to shelters in Bridgeport. I see you are connected to Bpt. Rescue Mission, that’s great. Where are you located?
