I would like to knit for the people in Appalachia (West Virginia) and would like to know what is most needed for either babies or adults. Many thanks for your help.

Am I able to obtain patterns, through e-mail from you ,as to what you need most?

Thanks so much for wanting to help! Top baby items are blankets, booties, bibs, knit washcloths, toys; lapghans, slippers, hats, scarves, mittens or gloves for adults.

I am also collecting children’s items, such as socks, gloves or mittens, sweaters, hats, scarves, blankets, toys, washcloths, etc. to send to the Central Appalachian Outreach in WV.

You can use any patterns you like, as well as any of the links I have provided on this blog. 🙂

I work with a number of fair trade artisans in Ecuador, and we have a surplus of Alpaca wool blend scarves. Warm, beautiful and washable – a variety of colors. We would like to provide these items to those in need of them. Could you please provide information as to how I can get these beautiful items to those most in need?
